How to Walk by the Spirit

Pastor Joshua Hurlburt

Most of us know the frustration of wanting to change but feeling stuck. The answer, rooted in Galatians 5, is not trying harder but walking by the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit, including love, joy, peace, and self-control, cannot be manufactured through willpower. It is the natural result of staying in close, daily step with the Holy Spirit. Walking by the Spirit involves two practical commitments: crucifying the flesh by cutting off what feeds it, and keeping in step with the Spirit through consistent daily connection with God. You are not expected to transform yourself. You are invited to walk with the One who transforms you.
