Resolve to Be All In
Jan 4, 2026 • Pastor Joshua Hurlburt
As we enter 2026, we have the opportunity to embrace a different kind of resolve - one rooted in faith rather than willpower. Daniel's story shows us what biblical resolve looks like: settling our identity and priorities before pressure comes. Most resolutions fail because our habits are stronger than our resolve, and if we don't intentionally choose what shapes us, our culture will make that choice for us. What we feed on - whether social media, news, or entertainment - forms our resolve and character. Fasting can reveal what truly shapes us and help us take charge of what feeds our souls. While our resolve may fail, Jesus demonstrated perfect resolve by setting His face toward Jerusalem and going to the cross for us.
