The Big Picture of History

God's original plan was for humanity to live with Him in a garden with the Tree of Life at its center. When sin entered through Adam and Eve's disobedience, we lost access to this perfect relationship and were separated from God's presence. However, God doesn't offer consolation prizes. Through Jesus' death and resurrection, He promises to restore everything - creating a new heaven and new earth where we will live physically with Him forever. This isn't about escaping to a spiritual realm, but about heaven coming down to a renewed earth.
